Order ID Card Printing Information and Tips
How to Prepare Your Files:
To ensure that your order is fulfilled smoothly, please forward your files prepared with these guidelines:
Bleed & Trim
1/8″ on all sides of the document will be trimmed off, this is called the bleed. So the size of the file that you submit needs to be 1/4″ higher and wider than the finished (cut) size. Make sure that all background images and colors extend into this area to avoid having a white frame around your design. Use our easy to read downloadable template at the bottom of this page.
Safe Zone
Additionally, please adjust your text and important graphics to be 1/8″ inside of the finished size on all four sides.
Colours
The file needs to be in CYMK color not RGB
Resolution
The resolution of your file needs to be 300dpi
Submitting Files
We prefer a pdf file (1 file for each side), if this is not possible please send a psd, ai or eps file.
Make sure all fonts are converted to outline. You can forward your print-ready files to us for a quick see before ordering if you choose.
Blacks
Rich black ( 40% Cyan, 40% Magenta, 30% Yellow, 100% Black ) should be used for large areas of black and will give a deep solid black finish.
100% black ( 0% Cyan, 0% Magenta, 0% Yellow, 100% Black ) should be used for small black text (12pt and smaller) and lines, this will result in crisp text and edges.
